Getting High in Venice Beach
A trend in filming that I can’t get enough of right now is the use of RC helicopter cameras. Not only does it turn out some amazing footage but it would also be a hell of a lot of fun to shoot with.
Above is a unique look over Venice Beach L.A and below Trent Palmer gives us a birds eye view of some backyard shredding. Enjoy!
Angry Birds just got real

Torstein Horgmo discusses filming with Contour
Recently whilst filming in Northstar Tahoe for Standard Films Torstein Horgmo was caught by a gust of wind on his approach to a large jump resulting in a concussion, broken ribs and a damaged lung but all reports indicate that he is now recovering well. The below picture was apparently taken before the accident took place.
On a lighter note we have a recently released clip of Torstein discussing the use of Contour Cameras in his filming. I’m loving the shot from contour strapped to the chopper blade. Genius!
Nitro Circus Las Vegas Highlights

The below clip features some of the highlights from the night but if your keen to watch more you’ll find it here
